Robert Sample

Robert Sample regularly exhibits amongst galleries in the South of England and across the UK as well as frequently in London . He is part of our regular exhibition programme, and examples of his works' are often available to view.

Sample is an artist with a contemporary view of the past. His paintings are about presence, both real and implied, but suggesting absence.  Robert's work often explores those who are viewed as living on the fringes of the social order, the homeless and those damaged by a fractured social or family background, dark and violently brilliant, they portray an unashamed loss of hope and disquieting perversions, rendered in fleshy hairy bodies.

“…not for the faint hearted but certainly work that needs to be seen”
