Rod Harman

Accompanying this forth coming exhibition we are very excited to be showing a newly commissioned film by the blackShed, Rod Harman - A Day in New York, filmed by Richard Helsop and edited by Sam Sharples.

Having been away for a while Rod Harman returns with an exceptional collection of new paintings. His work is often supported with written essays  deepening our understanding of the artist and his work. Rod Harman is considered by many to be the greatest painter of his age.

He has loved, lost and now has found a place of solitude to work. Those who know Rod Harman understand the passion and intimacy that lays within the depths of his work. Harman lays himself bare with the presentation of new works, and through his writing and paintings reveals his closest intimacies - he says 'through this work I want to speak to the dead' - his work is closest to life, body and colour. We are very pleased to support Rod and exclusively represent his work at the blackShed gallery.
